Marshall had fun at soccer class this morning. Maybe it will be sunny at the next class.

Muse Photos

April 3, 2010

Olga and I got to see Muse at Key Arena in Seattle last night. It was an excellent show. No photos can do it justice, of course, but here are some to give you an idea of what it was like.

Silversun Pickups are a great opening band for Muse

The show began with a haunting animation of people mindlessly walking up stairs only to be pushed down when they reached the top. Then Muse launched into 'Uprising'.

'Uprising', the first song. We had pretty good seats. The iPhone camera always makes it look like you're a hundred miles away but we were actually pretty close.

Another shot of 'Uprising'.

Eyeballs were a recurring theme throughout the show.

Lots of lasers and other cool light effects.

Later in the show bouncing eyes started falling from the ceiling onto the crowd.

Another shot of the eyes. When they broke open confetti exploded out.

Taking the Amtrak to Vancouver

I took the Amtrak up to Vancouver from Seattle today for the first time. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable trip. Sort of the opposite of flying. It was really cheap, too! Zooming along in business class. Nice view of the water from my seat. A shot of business class and the “in-flight” movie. [...]
