About me

I’m a husband, father, information security manager and network marketer. My family and I live in Seattle, Washington.

Career

My career in information technology and data security started in 1992 when I began five years of service as a Computer and Communications Officer in the United States Air Force. I worked at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia and Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, LA. I also served a short tour in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Shield.

After leaving the Air Force as a Captain, I entered the civilian world filling a variety of technical roles including help desk supervisor, network administrator, and network and information security consultant. My jobs lead me progressively west and north across the U.S., from Dallas to San Francisco and finally to Seattle.

I was a Vice President in the Corporate Information Security department of Washington Mutual Bank in Seattle (back before they imploded). I’m currently the Security Manager at PEMCO Corporation.

I’ve been a speaker at numerous technical conferences and seminars, written several Cisco white papers and contributed to a published study guide for Cisco certification. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Tampa in 1991 and have been a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) since 2000.

Business

In the spring of 2006, I was searching online for a way to help me lose 20-30 pounds. I kept seeing references to a nutritional weight loss system that was helping people quickly and safely lose weight. I decided to give the system a try and ordered it online.

I lost 31 pounds with the system.

Seeing the effectiveness of this weight loss system, I immediately became a distributor and began introducing it to family, friends, colleagues and people online.

I’ve helped people lose hundreds of pounds through nutritional weight loss. I’ve also been financially successful as a network marketer and by introducing this business opportunity to other entrepreneurs.

Speaking/Toastmasters

I’ve been involved with Toastmasters International off and on for more than 10 years. I’ve been the President of several clubs as well as an Area Governor in Seattle. Toastmasters not only helped me improve my public speaking skills, it’s helped me socially as well—that’s how I met my wife!
